Share Your Memories. Preserve Our History. Inspire Future Generations.

For more than 143 years, God has faithfully guided our church through generations of worship, service, and community impact. As we continue writing the next chapter of our story as First Baptist Church South Hill doing business as 1010 Church, we are creating a permanent Legacy Wall that will celebrate the people, places, and moments that have shaped our church since its founding in 1883.

This Legacy Wall will tell the story of God’s faithfulness through photographs, historical milestones, and the countless individuals whose love, sacrifice, and service built the church we know today.

We Need Your Help!

Many of our most treasured memories are preserved in family photo albums and personal collections. We invite every member, past member, family, and friend to help us preserve our history by sharing photographs and stories from throughout the years.

We are especially looking for:

• Historic photographs of our church from the earliest years through today
• Pictures of the original church buildings and sanctuary
• Photos from our time worshipping at the school while our current church was under construction
• Pastor installation services and anniversaries
• Baptisms, communion services, revivals, and special worship celebrations
• Choirs, praise teams, ushers, deacons, deaconesses, missionaries, youth groups, Sunday School classes, Bible studies, and ministry events
• Church picnics, fellowships, conferences, anniversaries, and homecomings
• Community outreach and mission projects
• Groundbreaking and construction of our current church campus
• Pictures of former pastors, church leaders, trustees, deacons, deaconesses, ministry leaders, and faithful members who made significant contributions to the life of our church
• Any other photographs that capture meaningful moments in our church’s history

When You Upload a Photo

Please include as much information as you can:

• When was the picture taken?
• If you don’t know the exact date, an estimated year or decade is helpful.

2. Who Is in the Picture?

Please identify everyone you recognize.

3. What Is Happening?

Tell us about the event or occasion.
