Background Screening Authorization

To help ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals and communities we serve, all volunteers are required to complete a background screening process as part of their application and ongoing eligibility to volunteer. After submitting your application, you will receive a separate email invitation to complete the required authorization forms and background check information. The screening process may include, as applicable, criminal history records, sex offender registry checks, and/or a Virginia Department of Social Services Central Registry search, in accordance with applicable laws and organizational policies.

Please note: These are time-sensitive emails and should be completed as soon as possible to avoid delays in processing your volunteer application.

By proceeding with the volunteer application process, you acknowledge that completion of the required background screening and authorization forms is necessary before volunteer service may begin.
